چکیده
Introduction: There is little iterature data regarding neutropenic enterocolitis (NE) development after autologous hematopoietic cell transplantation (auto-HCT) in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) patients. The aim of this study was to determine the incidence, risk factors, and clinical outcome NE auto-HCT NHL patients with respect impact multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria (MDRG) vancomycin-resistant enterococci colonization on early auto-HCT. Material methods: This retrospective single-center analysis included a total 65 who underwent BEAM (BCNU, etoposide, cytosine arabinoside, melphalan) conditioning (BEAM-auto-HCT). Results: diagnosed nine (13.8%) patients, median four days In 6/9 (66%) septic shock following diagnosed. univariate analysis, MDRG before BEAM-auto-HCT only factor significant for [odds ratio (OR) 2.4 (1.14–5.0), p = 0.027], although not confirmed multivariate analysis. Additionally, [OR 5.2 (1.9–13.9), 0.001] prior transplant 2.7 (1.0–7.0), 0.041] were independent factors development. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that presenting should be kept under careful surveillance because high severe infectious complications, including abdominal ones.

Background: Antibiotic prophylaxis is usually used in allogenic stem cell transplantation, but its use in Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation (ASCT) is controversial. We evaluated the efficacy of ciprofloxacin prophylaxis in ASCT. Materials and Methods: To identify the efficacy of ciprofloxacin on the incidence of neutropenic fever and its complications, 72 patients had been admitted to Talegh...

متن کاملHodgkin’s Lymphoma Occurring Secondary to Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation in Plasma Cell Leukemia; A Case Report
Survival of patients with multiple myeloma has improved substantially because of availability of new therapies including autotransplants, immunomodulating drugs and proteasome-inhibitors. Second primary cancers have emerged as an important determinant of morbidity and mortality among cancer survivors. Even though there is an increased risk of new cancers of the lymphoreticular and haematopoetic...

High-dose therapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) has been considered a potential treatment approach in order to improve the poor prognosis in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), but its role has not yet been clearly established. We analyzed retrospectively the outcome and prognostic factors in 48 consecutive patients with MCL scheduled for ASCT in five transplant centers. In 14...
